The creative director's cover concept for this Richmond magazine feature, the "Top High Schools" opener art with accent doodles, inspired the hand-drawn elements I used on the following spreads. I came up with a light-hearted design for what could have been boring pages full of charts. I paid close attention to organizing and highlighting content to help the reader sort through all of the information.

This won first place for Page Design in the 2015 Virginia Press Association Annual Awards.
