Supa Dupa

I lettered the phrase “supa dupa” (slang for “super duper”) as part of an animated GIF Skillshare class taught by Mete Erdogan. I already knew that I wanted to do some curvy, blobby-looking text like you’d see in the 1960’s and 1970’s. When I was researching inspiration, I noticed that posters from that time often squished the letters into a containing shape, so I went with a circle. I kept the animation simple because my background texture was pretty funky.
