1AB Media, an external communications firm for life sciences brands, came up with a four-part animation series for their client Boundless Bio. The objective was to create clear-cut, branded explainer animations that define science concepts related to the work Boundless carries out. Visually, the goal was to bring a little more life and attention-grabbing elements to the videos to keep them from looking too much like a corporate slide deck.
The first video established how the information would flow overall, and set up design elements to be repeated in the rest of the series.
My favorite part of the second video was the parallax effect, which added interest to the ecDNA image.
The third and fourth videos are much heavier on data visualization, requiring clear layouts and visual hierarchy within the charts and graphs.
